Magento Community Driven Project: Asynchronous & Bulk API

Wednesday, October 10, 9:00AM-9:45AM

Level -1, Sala J

At the beginning of 2018 the Magento Community started a new project with the aim to improve the standard Magento REST API. They wanted to make it possible to execute all API requests asynchronously using a queuing system and a build-in Magento Commerce queuing-framework. As a result Magento Open Source is now equipped with a new Asynchronous and Bulk API. During this session we will share our experiences developing community projects, tell the story about the implementation of the Asynchronous API and Bulk API to the Magento Core system, and give an overview of the developed functionalities. We’ll also preview the new features that developers and merchants can expect in future Magento releases.
